We have in our
band some
of the best musicians in Devon. We feature
the amazing Bob
Powell on
Melodeon, Paul
Cox on Fiddle, Keith Hunter on
Bass Guitar and Colin
Wilson on Acoustic Guitar. We have been
playing in a variety of Barn Dance or Ceilidh Bands for years,
now we have come together to form our own unique band, plus we
can do
a song or two as well.

The Devon Barn Dance Band ....
Bob Powell - looks like he's enjoying himself, but he always
looks like this after his first sherry!
Still, it improves his melodeon playing...
Colin Wilson - not out of short trousers yet, but he can twang
that ol' geetar a treat...
Helen
may look like she wouldn't say "boo!" to a goose, but actually
she's the one calling the tune. (Well, the dances to be strictly
accurate!)
She
can even do it in French!
Paul looking like a shady character.
Well, he IS on the fiddle!
Keith keeps the foot tappin' rhythms on bass guitar.

Dance Callers to take you through your
paces and teach you the moves, so there is no need to worry if you
think you might get it wrong (all the more fun if you do!)
No venue is too small (or big) as our excellent PA system will handle
it all, we can also plug in a CD player for you if you would like
to hear some of your own favourite tracks.

Want a bigger Band? Well the four of us make a big sound but sometimes
the right venue can take a full drum kit if you want to rock it up
a bit, or maybe an additional Flute or Saxophone would be your preference,

Dear Barnstormers
Thank you all so much - we had a great time. Music was great
and special thanks to Helen for her warmth and patience! I'm
under pressure to make it an annual event.
A big big thank you to you and the band for a fantastic evening.
Everybody had a great time.
We all felt
it was a very happy, sociable and relaxed evening. My parents
are celebrating their 60th birthday next year
and are now really excited about having a similar event.
Friends
have rung to say they had a great evening and haven't laughed
so much in ages!!

know.
